Les journées passent vite avec la construction
le matin et le temps libre l'après-midi. On aime vraiment notre projet,
travailler dehors, se faire des ampoules aux doigts, frapper couper clouer
mesurer, constater les progres au fur et à mesure, tout en chantant et parlant,
et revenir sales à la maison, c'est chouette et en plus on apprend plein de
choses! Le représentant IVHQ est venu nous voir pour vérifier que tout se
passait bien pour nous et a été surpris de l'avancée de la construction en si
peu de temps! Il dit que l'on est très rapide, et moi qui pensait qu'on y
allait plutot pepere!! Ca ne sert à rien d'expliquer ce que l'on a fait
exactement, mais je suis vraiment contente de participer à ce projet.
The days go quickly with the construction
in the morning and free time in the avo. We really enjoy our projet, working
outside, get blisters on our fingers, hitting chopping nailing measuring, see
the progress as we go, while chatting
and singing, and coming back home very dirty, it's great and we learn lots! The
IVHQ representative came to see us to check we are happy there and he was
surprised how much was done in so little time! He said we are very fast, which
is funny since I thought we were going at an easy pace! It would be pointless
to explain what was done exactly but we really are happy in this placement!
Vendredi on n'a pas fait grand chose en
fait, on est allé cueillir du maïs pour notre pause et la pause a duré 1h!
On friday we haven't done much actually, we
went to pick some corn for the break and the break lasted like an hour!

Les après-midis sont faits de siestes et
courses principalement!
A la maison, tout va bien. On est vraiment
mieux ici! Une femme, Maria, vit sur place et nous preparent tous nos repas.
Les haricots noirs au petit déjeuner sont de trop mais dans l'ensemble c'est
bon! Par exemple ce matin c'était gauffres et fraises fraiches, ca change tous
les jours! Andrew est en manque de viande, j'avoue je ne dirais pas non à un
bon steak bien grillé, des côtes d'agneau à la papa, mmmm. Visiblement nous ne sommes pas les seuls car
jeudi soir, tous les habitants de la maison sont allés diner au restaurant El Tenedor del Cerro, un super
restau, un vrai de vrai super classe, cher pour ici mais pas cher du tout pour
ce genre de restau en Europe ou Australie!

and shopping!
At the house, all is good. We really feel
better here! A lady, Maria, lives on site and cooks all our meals. A part from
the black beans for breakfast, it is always very good! For example this morning
we had waffles and fresh strawberries, it's different every day! Andrew misses
meat very badly. I have to say I myself woud no say no to a good steak and
grilled lamb chops! It looks like we are not the only ones since the 16 of us
went to the restaurant last night at El Tenedor del Cerro, a great, beautiful, real restaurant,
expensive for this country but in reality for us, very cheap.

Pour terminer la semaine en beauté
(j'espère), nous allons gravir samedi le volcan Acatenango (3976m) et y dormir!
Y camper permet d'avoir une vue fantastique sur le volcan Fuego, toujours actif.
D'ici, nous voyons de temps en temps un nuage de fumée en sortir, mais de
la-haut, et de nuit, ca n'a rien à voir!
Cet ascension va s'ajouter à la liste des volcans "visités"
qui commence à être longue! Volcan Yasur au Vanuatu, Volcan Raung, Ljen, Bromo et Sameru en Indonésie,
Mauna Kea et Kilauea à Hawaii, Tongariro en Nouvelle-Zélande, Taal aux Philippines...
To end this week with beauty, hopefully, we are going to climb volcano Acatanango, 3976m, and camp there over night! Spending the night there gives a chance to see the fantastic view on the crater of the volcano Fuego, still active. From the town, we can see from time to time the volcano smoking, but by night and from overthere, it must be amazing! This volcano will be added to the getting-long-list of volcanoes visited previously! Volcano Yasur in Vanuatu, Volcano Ljen, Bromo et Sameru in Indonesia, Mauna Kea and Kilauea in Hawaii, Tongariro in New-zealand, Taal in the Philippines...

Ma peur, c'est le froid. Je n'ai qu'un
pull pour contrer 0 degrés! Je n'ai même
pas de chaussures fermées! Mais je vais de ce pas au marché de 2nde main pour y
trouver, j'espère, des couches supplémentaires! Bref je vous dis à dimanche, ou
lundi!!
My fear it's the cold! I only have one jumper to fight degrees! I dont even have closed shoes! But im going immediatly to a second hand market to find some layers! Anyway, talk to you on Sunday, or monday!!!
